B+M Luxos U Front Light
This is probably the best dynamo headlight on the market for commuting or touring.
The light incorporates the latest technology for seeing your way, as listed below, with a charger for USB devices, and a convenient handlebar switch. Pairs beaytifully with SP Dynamo Hubs.
Panorama and Standlight
The light field is designed to be wider at lower speeds, to see your way around corners, and when in daylight mode, throws higher to shine more brightly in alerting oncoming vehicles. As with all B&M lights, a Standlight is included, so you head light will stay on for some minutes when you stop, at traffic lights for instance. When you park, you can use the switch to turn off the light completely. (B&M tail lights have their own independent stand light.)
90 Lux Floodlight
The handle bar switch accesses a high beam using the internal battery to go up from 70 lux to 90 lux, ideal for difficult sections in deep darkness.
The LuxosU effectively incorporates a USBwerk inside the light housing.
A lead from the handlebar switch has a socket which can be connected direct to USB device, or into the Ortlieb E handlebar bag. Carging happens once the battery is charged, which may take a few kilometres if it ghas been fully discharged. Charge for USB is available from around 15kmh with the headlight on, from around 12kmh with the light off. The charging status is indicated by an LED in the handlebar switch.
The headlight's integrated backup battery ensures constant charging current.
All light functions can be switched from the handlebars: ON/OFF, flood light,.
Integrated Lithium-Back-up battery
The additional current-memory is used for peak loads and the charging current. Loading constantly on when driving.
LICHT24. The Daytime Light
Front-firing signal LEDs. At daylight the automatic sensor turns on automatically to maximum daytime running lights, aimed higher, in the dark to maximum drivelight.
A control LED light on the rear of the light shows whether an attached tail light is working properly.
