Miche Team: Niemec comes back!

After the bad accident during the Settimana Lombarda, Niemec comes back to races.

The answer of medical staff that visited him at the hospital just after the falling communicate to the Team staff and to the cyclist 60 days of prognoses, he fractured the pelvis.

After a consultation with a specialist that prescribed few days of rest and some exercises, now -just after on month from the accident- Niemec is ready to attend the races of next week-end in Italy, in Tuscany where the team has its headquarter.

Nothing more than the wish to race and to have good goals helps the recuperation of Niemec.

Team Miche Silvercross after the attending of Giro D’Oro and Giro del Trentino, where the racers gained some good placements, is now involved in an important week-end on the home roads. The Team will attend the 3rd May The GP Industria e Artigianato di Larciano, where Tozzi and Tognaccini convene Niemec, Szczawinski, Giunti, Carta, Muto, Carvajal, Capelli, D’Andrea.

For Giro di Toscana of 4th May the Team Manager convenes Niemec, Szczawinski, Giunti Muto, Carta D’Andrea, Serri and Degano.

Team Miche-Silvercross

After the positive participation at Milano-Sanremo where Team Miche Silvercross evidenced in the main escape (more than 200km) with D’Andrea and in the final classification with Niemec, the Team was busy in Emilia Romagna at the international race Coppi & Bartali.

There Giunti, Muto and Niemec gained good placements and in the final classification Miche-Silvercross team placed 3° behind team Silence – Lotto and team Liquigas, and before many important Pro-Tour and Professional teams.

Now this week the Team is busy at Settimana Lombarda, where it aims at new important results.

The 2007 ‘Goulburn to Citi’ has a winner

Broken ribs and team tactics failed to stop champion cyclist, Robbie Williams of the Drapac Porsche Team from winning his first and the 139th running of the Goulburn to Citi Cycle Classic in Camden today.

At 7:40am in ideal conditions, 120 of Australia’s strongest elite cyclists representing the Nation’s top thirteen teams eagerly raced off north to Camden from Goulburn. The first attack occurred 10km into the race with five riders Ben Mathers ( Praties, Tas), Richie Porte ( Praties, Tas), Peter Herzig (NSWIS, NSW), Angus Morton (Drapac Porsche, Vic) and Darcy Roselund (Ord Minnett) getting a 4 minute advantage over the peleton by Berrima where the team of the breakaway riders successfully suppressed any serious attempts to close the gap.
