Challenge Tool Bag $95

Challenge Saddle Bag

• The Challenge Tool bag was first produced in 1899. It is for fitting to the rear of a saddle bearing bag loops. It features buckles that whilst fastening the bag to the saddle, are located within the bag itself, thus ensuring greater levels of security. The strap that secures the unit encircles the tool and prevents them from rattling.

• This bag was featured in the Brooks catalogue as far back as 1910. The outer sleeve remains permanently attached to the saddle allowing the inner purse to be removed. The purse is attached to the sleeve by a ‘Sam Brown’ fixing, preventing it from sliding out, even under extreme conditions.

• The larger of the Holdalls, it is made of vinyl featuring black leather trim with two side pockets. The Holdalls were originally produced in the 1950’s to allow cyclists to carry cameras, food, maps and tools.

• Inspired by the design of the 1937 Mudguard Flap.
• Our new mud flap is made of the same leather used for Brooks saddles.
• Fits to the mudguard with the two screw bolts provided.

Brooks Jerseys

• Brooks L'Eroica Embroidered Woollen Jersey short sleeve- Black / Fawn (The coloured jerseys shown were limited editions, now sold out!) Produced specifically for Team Brooks’ participation in L’Eroica, the Brooks woolen jersey is inspired by the original designs of the 1960s and 70s and features embroidered logos, a metal zip and three buttoned rear pockets. It is manufactured in Italy using the finest quality wools. Brooks England  sponsors L’Eroica, a cycling event for vintage bicycles, partly aimed at saving the gravel roads in Tuscany. 

Proofide $18 ($15 when purchased with a Brooks saddle)

Brooks Proofide

• 40g can Proofide is used to preserve the leather and maintain its suppleness.
• It is important to use it during the breaking-in period to allow the leather to conform to your particular shape, and apply it under the saddle, for water proofing.
