Lights We have a range of lights of varying types and prices. Simple LED front and rear lights are great for those cyclists who just want to be seen, but do not need much illumination to see the way. Theae lights are now so cheap to buy and run that there is no excuse for not having them fitted - $50 buys a really practical set!. We also make up a bracket with two tail lights, and a reflector, which screws permanently on to a rear rack - see "Unusual Items". It can be mounted to the rear of a mesh basket, or we have a SSun superbright light which mounts to a mesh basket. (There is also a white version for a front basket.) For those who want to see where they are going, on a bikepath by the river, or on a country road, there are other options. The simplest is to use two or even three clip on LED headlights, one shining down closer to the bike, and another pointed further down the track. Probably the best solution for the long distance cyclist, Audax or commuting, is a Hub dynamo, with complementary LED lights for visibility. The globe style headlights give a yellow light which defines shades of grey, like grass alongside asphalt, better than the whiter light typical of LEDs.
