We love a big capacity bottle. Because it’s simply the best way to utilise your bidon cage. For this reason you will find several different types of 1 litre bottles on our site & in store.
In fact, any bottle you see in stock online is in our Richmond bicycle repair shop on Swan Street. So if you need to see the hot colours of the Nalgene’s in person to make a decision, you can!
We highly recommend a Zefal water bottle in their largest capacity for any summer gravel or road rides. You will never need to worry about conserving your H2o with these big friends.
Bikepacking hydration
Probably one of the most common conversations we have in the shop is about carrying your water on a trip.
Bikepacking is one of those preparation-heavy kind of activities. And one of your major concerns should be hydration when it comes to Australian climates.
Not only your drinking water, but importantly your cooking & cleaning water needs to be accounted for. We always recommend a little mental blow-by-blow of your day on the trail. Thinking of the coffee you will make in the morning, maybe with your cooking pot? So you will need to clean that pot to make your coffee or your dinner or vice versa.
Considering all your water needs, we like to think erring on the side of caution is a good idea. If you can run a big bottle, run it!
