Underseat bags or saddle bags span a huge range of sizes for different riding styles. There are very compact versions for commuter cyclists where the intention is to carry a spare tube & tyre levers. Then there are some quite small saddle bags for the Audax competitors to carry their tools & spares.
Then there are the seat bags designed for bikepacking that can be anywhere from 2 litres to 17 litres in carrying capacity. These are designed to carry your clothes or your camping gear.
You will need to think abut what you want to carry before you look at bags for your saddle!
Another important factor in choosing a seat bag is the amount of clearance you have between your saddle & your tyre. If you ride a small sized bike you will know why we mention this.
Smaller sized frames have less exposed seatpost & less distance between the saddle & rear tyre. This distance will often dictate how large a bag you can carry.
