What is the difference between Revelate’s seat bags?
Revelate give you the best of both worlds, making two different designs of seat bag. Both in large volume for maximising your space.
They have a functional take on the traditional seat bag which has a Velcro strap for the seat post & a mounting plate for ‘locking’ on to your saddle rails & reducing sway, in their Spinelock bag.
Revelate also make the modular system version of a seat bag, with the Terrapin System. Allowing you to remove the inner dry bag from the mounting shell. Which is great for quickly getting your gear off the bike when you are finally ready to call it a day.
The Terrapin System comes in both 8L & 14L capacities. Meaning you can carry a full winter kit in your dry bag, and a sleeping bag too.
How does the Revelate Spinelock work?
Using the Spinelock is like using a modular handlebar system. Working on a similar principle, you are leaving a part on your bike & removing another. In this case you are leaving the locking plate on your saddle rails. And removing the bag by pulling a pin. The pin is locked in, as your saddle pack is locked in. So no stressing about it falling off! Once locked in by the pin, the Spinelock is rock solid on your bike.
