The MKS Sylvan Stream Pedal (sold as a pair) is a compact double sided pedal with grippy cage plates.
The cage plate has an aggressive tooth profile to provide grip in any shoe. Including boots! In fact, that’s what has made this pedal one of the most popular we sell in Abbotsford Cycles. Not only is this a good looking pedal for ay steel or aluminium frame bicycle, but the work for any shoe. This is particularly important if you plan to keep these pedals on your bike when you commute.
But if you are intendig to use these pedals on your commuter bike, or any bike really, MKS recommend you use toe clips or straps. While there is some grip in the cage plate, to reduce the chance of slipping you should pair these with toe clips or straps.
